I miss my beautiful baby girl more than you could possibly imagine, but I needed this. I really needed to get away for a little while. I keep worrying that she won't remember me once I've gotten home, but I know that's ridiculous. She's not going to forget me due to a week long vacation.
This probably goes without saying, but we're having a lot of fun. I don't know why we decided to leave the men at home, but we're definitely enjoying ourselves… even if we spend a lot of time talking about the men we left at home.
Drinking. Dancing. We've already planned our evening. I guess I'd better get ready.

My father is dating...
I… don't know how I feel about that.
On one hand, I love him and I want him to be happy. On the other, I… don't know. He's dating. He has a new son and a new girlfriend, and I kind of feel like I'm losing my daddy. I know that's insane, but that's how I feel. When is he going to have time for me?
She's nice. She's young. She's twenty-eight. That's four years older than me. That's fifteen years younger than my father. That's… crazy.
I suppose I should be glad that she is older than me. He could be dating some ditzy college co-ed.
I wonder if they're … ew … they probably are. I'm not going to think about that, but he wouldn't have introduced her to us if it wasn't serious.

My little brother is officially a year old. It really doesn't seem like it's been that long since he was born. Before I know it, Catrena will be having her first birthday. Time really does fly when you're having fun, doesn't it?
I'm on my way back to New York. I had a great time in Chicago, but I'm more than a little worn out. It is not easy to travel with an infant.
